Ariali – I Sit and I Go

Luka’s photos are presented to us as a kind of ‘Hero’s journey’, that appears again and again from Odyssey and Gilgamesh to Per Gynt and Luke Skywalker.
If by its nature ‘Hero’s journey” links to large scales and monumentalism, Luka’s journey through lands and seas is more introverted and ephemeral due to its low exposure, feather lines and blurry shapes.
His metamorphosis from hero in action to observing and heeding hero, creates a sense of timeflow and places the viewer effectively into his place.
